Plain MC68000 booting uClinux kernel 2.4.x
Modifications from the last video:
– Changed the little ram chips with 4x512Kb SRAM
– Changed the 2x256Kb FLASH with 2x512Kb FLASH
– Wired up an old FPGA and a brand name brand-new 4Gb SDHC card
HD68HC000P8 @ 17.5 MHz
2Mb SRAM
1Mb Flash
Remarkably this 8MHz CPU runs fine at 20MHz! however a small touch in those wires and it stops … I think this system in a good PCB can run efficiently at high clock speeds.
Linked to a Xilinx XC4010E (packed by the 68k at start-up).
In the meantime it has an easy SPI host module to user interface the SD card that I have actually established in verilog.
Next actions:.
Include more RAM!
Include ethernet (ENC28J60 will do great) and code the linux motorist.
